Businesses in need of new life wanted – (Ref. RSS/RG)

Our London based client sources, executes and co-invests in acquisition opportunities across a wide range of deal values, sectors and geographic locations; actively looking for businesses which offer the potential to be developed and taken to “the next level”.

Particular interest in businesses where some or all of the existing management/owners are keen to remain involved post transaction but would benefit from the introduction of fresh talent and experience.

Our client is able to source and engage experienced sector professionals with exceptional and relevant track records; attracted to businesses where acquisition and input could breathe in new life and make a real difference to future performance and prospects.

Will consider investment opportunities in most sectors and size, arising from small private vendor disposals to divestment strategies by multinational corporates.

Sectors include:

Manufacturing/Engineering/Processing, Construction, Contracting, Wholesale & Distribution (especially oil/fuel or food products), Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Home Improvements, Business to Consumer (B2C activities).

Typical situations include:

  • Retirement or progressive-exit plans
  • Multiple shareholders with some wishing to retire but some wishing to participate in the future growth of the business
  • Succession where 2nd tier management team is not quite ready for an MBO transaction
  • Corporate disposal
  • Strong product/service but support needed for sales/marketing or efficiency uplift

Turnover £5m to £100m normally preferred with strong asset base (eg trade receivables). Below £5m turnover considered but only if adjusted EBITDA is £300k or above.

Funds provided by our client’s shareholders and a preferred institutional debt provider, whilst maintaining an extensive relationship base of institutional funders who have helped co-finance previous acquisitions.
